TFG Officer Slain in Baidoa Town in Southern Overnight

Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)-Men armed with pistols gunned down a military officer from the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia last night in the southern commercial town of Baidoa 245km from the Somali capital Mogadishu.

The officer came out from a mosque in the center of the town and free from attack suspicion the officer was walking down the street towards his abode in the neighborhood.

Eyewitness and other worshippers flanking the deceased told inside Somalia that he has performed the duty upon him meaning prayed his evening prayers.

The perpetrators evaded the spot where they had committed the crime not showing hurry motion.

The late was named as Mad janay and was well known figure among then population in Baidoa town.

Minutes after the incident Somali government police reached at the scene, but no arrest relating with the murder was immediately confirmed.

The security situation of Baidoa town is calm this morning after the killing of the military officer overnight.

It is not the first time and officer from the Somali government to be gunned down in Baidoa town in a calculated move.
